Overview

The Friends of the Lurdes Mutola Foundation was established as a sister nonprofit organization to support the programs of the Lurdes Mutola Foundation to promote education and economic opportunities for the youth of Mozambique – one of Africa's poorest countries. The Friends was founded as a nonprofit charity in 2007, operates with a five-member board of directors, and has received donations from well over 100 individual donors.

Please help us continue our efforts to break the cycle of poverty and gender inequality in rural Mozambique and be a catalyst for change.

What are we working on now?

We are working on a capital campaign to complete a second and third dormitory and outfit them with beds, linens and other essentials for our newly arrived class.
